New Blog

Dear Readers,

Here I am, sitting in my room with nothing to do. Nothing to do excep worry about the hurricane. Hurricane Gustov could get worse than Hurricane Katrina they say. My roommate is from Slidell, so it would affect him greatly, unlike me, as i am from Clinton, MS, so it would not affect me that much. When Katrina hit, I had a house in Philadelphia, MS. The house was surrounded by 3 oak trees, so the yard was a mess. Later in the year, I volunteered to go to Biloxi,MS. While in Biloxi, it opened my eyes as to what happened. We worked for a week cleaning up a church and some of its congregation's houses. One person had a football that was signed by Bret Farve, but it was washed away by Katrina. We even saw a house that was demolished and the house next to it was still standing. It was surreal and just jaw dropping. When we finished cleaning that house, it was just a stone slab with a chimminy. We even had to shovel in the dirt because the flooding had pushed debris down in the dirt. We even found an old, washed out 8-track. So anyway, that is my life story at the time of Katrina, and I know that I got off track. So in closing, I just want to say that I hope and pray that either this storm goes around us or that the storm weakens. Well, now it is time to go, and get something to eat. TTFN. Ta Ta For Now.
